morning still and calm

June 21

I love visiting our plants out on our porch in the morning; eating my breakfast out in the elements and sounds of the neighborhood. Here, our neighbor though briefly disrupted by the phone, is enjoying his scotch.

i absolutely adore the top 2 photos in this post. all of the photos here are beautiful, but they have struck a chord in me. i was hoping you could tell me what plants they are?

Hi Joann! So glad you asked! The top photo is of a plant we grew from seed called Nicotiana - Indian Peace Pipe. The second photo is of another plant we grew from seed named mimosa pudica. It is often referred to as a 'sensitive plant'.. it is highly sensitive to light and touch.
